Wed Mar 4, 3:32 PM This artist's conception shows two supermassive black holes orbiting each other in what is known as a binary system. Each black hole is surrounded by a disk of material gradually spiraling into its grasp, releasing radiation from X-rays to radio waves. The two black holes complete an orbit every 100 years. The findings were published in the journal Nature.
