(槟城9日讯) 光华日报杯全槟华文中学足球锦标赛周五结束一场激战--槟岛区小组榜首之争，由原领头羊中华中学对垒第2名韩江中学。然而，近期状态极佳的韩江中学气势继续延烧！继上轮9比2拿下菩提独中之后，周五再次以4比0大比分拿下中华中学，早前一路顺分顺水的中华中学则吃下开赛以来的首场败仗。
事实上，中华会被全场压着打，并非无迹可寻，从两队球员的身材便可以看出个中道理。韩江的“暹仔”个个人高马大；反观中华球员则明显矮一节，争抢上完全吃不到甜头。此外，韩江球员的个人技巧也比中华球员要好，就10号队长苏再文而言，要他带球连过两三人就跟吃花生一样简单。
“欧文”上演帽子戏
韩江队长“欧文”苏再文本场比赛上演帽子戏法，韩江在开赛第5分钟便取得进球，苏再文巧妙带球越过守门员，将球推进网内，1比0。
韩江在下半场第11分钟再下一城！队长苏再文在门前找到机会，凌空抽射，守门员来不及反应，只能眼睁睁看球进网。下半场第18分钟时，苏再文切入左边底线连过两人后出脚射门，守门员扑救不果，3比0。
2分钟后，韩江再在中华禁区发难，3号荣泰切入底线后传中，6号亦明接球轻推给等待多时的冯朋普，冯朋普出脚，4比0！比赛结束，韩江主场4比0大胜中华。

(槟城7日讯)卫冕冠军韩江中学将于周五下午的光华日报杯全槟华文中学足球锦标赛槟岛区赛事主场迎战2006年冠军中华中学。由于韩江目前积分落后，此仗不容有失。
韩江在3场比赛后取得3战2胜1负的成绩，两场胜仗是从菩提独中身上取得，唯一一场败仗是在主场以3比4不敌钟灵国中。目前槟岛区的形势已较明朗化，韩江预料将与中华以及钟灵争夺两个四强名额。
本场赛事，韩江教练兼著名射脚黄明贵预计将继续启用上仗9比2大胜菩提的首发阵容，队长“欧文”苏再文在该场独中四元，锋芒毕露。苏再文目前在射脚榜上以6球领先群雄。苏再文将与各进两球的“皮卡丘”李勇杰以及冯朋普组成恐怖进攻组合。韩江目前在本届赛会已攻入16球，为各队之冠。不过，赵廷勋此仗因遭禁赛而无缘为韩江上阵。

(槟城25日讯) 2009年光华日报杯全槟华文中学足球锦标赛，槟岛区赛事初赛在马球场展开一场精彩的争夺。中华中学在获得两场胜利后，此仗仅能凭靠邝佳源梅开二度，以及队长林文汉的进球，3比3与菩提独中握手言和。三轮比赛后，中华以2胜1和，积7分的优势，成为槟城区形势上的领头羊。

伯汝马拔头筹
纵观整体上中华中学略占优势，然而却是菩提独中首开纪录。第20分钟，伯汝马盘球入禁区后，以一记劲射破网，先拔头筹。菩提在此战中，摆脱了上一仗的颓势，在取得领先后，踢得起劲。
菩提的领先优势只维持了4分钟。第24分钟，邝佳源接获队友传球后，在禁区内轻挑叩门，力度不强，然而菩提的临时候补门将邱鼎绩，来不及接应而让邝佳源得逞。:)菩提正选门将赶到现场，热身后立即派上场。据悉，此役菩提仅有3名候选球员，轮流上阵。

第27分钟，凭着队长林文汉在禁区内起脚射门进球，中华首度反超菩提，此后，中华开始展现强势进攻。在1球落后之下，菩提凭着几次零星的反击，成功在第34分钟，逮到机会展开反攻下，扳回比分。曾维平接获队友远传后，突入禁区，盘球冲向龙门，中华3名回防的后卫与门将同时一涌而上，后卫叶春发为了扫除危机，竟踢入了自家龙门，造就了乌龙球。
易边再战，菩提的球员显然体力有限，再加上候补球员的不足，中华掌握优势。下半场，中华展开连绵的进攻，菩提退而打防守反攻策略。反攻的策略果然奏效，菩提再次在43分钟，零星的反击中，在禁区左侧，近角球区获得一个任意球。林蔚良在斜角度抽射弯球，越过了门将与后卫，直接把球送进龙门右死角，菩提3比2反超，比赛越显精采。

落后1球，中华展开进攻连连，菩提退回半场镇守中华的进攻。中华终于在第62分钟，凭靠邝佳源在禁区内射门，再度扳回比分。5分钟后，伯汝马单刀直入禁区，可惜来不及起脚，门将冲出解救。错失了良机。

开赛第2分钟，恒毅球员犯规，中华在30码处获得任意球。

主踢罚球的邝佳源用力劲射，恒毅后卫李家匡思头槌化解危机，球却越过门将弹进龙门，酿成本赛事开踢以来的第二粒乌龙球。
第18分钟，中华的门将李瑞吉在化解恒毅前锋的一次攻势时，不慎让球滑落手掌，险象环生，幸而后防及时解救，才避免让城池沦陷。
第30分钟，黄家伟单刀直入，准备迎上队友的远传而伸出飞脚，导致夺门而出的恒毅门将王俊强腹部受伤。1分钟后黄家伟再度越位，在裁判吹起哨声后，仍把球猛射冲天而领了1张黄牌。

Last Saturday I followed my school six form society went to Pantai Keracut for a one day trip.
The activities are jungle trekking, playing flying disc, volleyball and etc. We don't have much time to play at all. We spent an hour inside the jungle on the way to the beach. There weren't many people. I saw few tourists which were very friendly. So I greet with them. They somemore help us snap photos. Cheers~ Honestly, I'm not that enjoy on that day. I don't know why I'm so tired and exhausted. I slept inside the bus which on the journey back to school. ZZZ.

10 healthy habits to help you live longer

The biggest factor that determines how well you age is not your genes but how well you live. Not convinced? A new study of 20,000 British citizens published in the British Medical Journal shows that you can cut your risk of having a stroke in half by doing the following four things: being active for 30 minutes a day, eating five daily servings of fruit and vegetables, and avoiding cigarettes and excess alcohol.
While those are some of the obvious steps you can take to age well, researchers have discovered that centenarians tend to share certain traits in how they eat, move about, and deal with stress—the sorts of things we can emulate to improve our own aging process. Of course, getting to age 100 is enormously more likely if your parents did. Still, Thomas Perls, M.D., M.P.H., who studies the century-plus set at Boston University School of Medicine, believes that assuming you've side-stepped genes for truly fatal diseases like Huntington's, "there's nothing stopping you from living independently well into your 90s." Heck, if your parents and grandparents were heavy smokers, they might have died prematurely without ever reaching their true potential lifespan, so go ahead and shoot for those triple digits. Follow these 10 habits, and check out Perls' lifetime risk calculator to see how long you can expect to live..

1. Don’t retire
"Evidence shows that in societies where people stop working abruptly, the incidence of obesity and chronic disease skyrockets after retirement," says Luigi Ferrucci, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging. The Chianti region of Italy, which has a high percentage of centenarians, has a different take on leisure time. "After people retire from their jobs, they spend most of the day working on their little farm, cultivating grapes or vegetables," he says. "They're never really inactive." Farming isn't for you? Volunteer as a docent at your local art museum or join the Experience Corps, a program offered in 19 cities that places senior volunteers in urban public elementary schools for about 15 hours a week.

2. Floss every day
That may help keep your arteries healthy. A 2008 New York University study showed that daily flossing reduced the amount of gum-disease-causing bacteria in the mouth. This bacteria is thought to enter the bloodstream and trigger inflammation in the arteries, a major risk factor for heart disease. Other research has shown that those who have high amounts of bacteria in their mouth are more likely to have thickening in their arteries, another sign of heart disease. "I really do think people should floss twice a day to get the biggest life expectancy benefits," stresses Perls.

3. Move around
"Exercise is the only real fountain of youth that exists," says S. Jay Olshansky, Ph.D., a professor of medicine and aging researcher at the University of Illinois in Chicago. "It's like the oil-and-lube job for your car. You don't have to do it, but your car will definitely run better." Study after study has documented the benefits of exercise to improve mood, mental acuity, balance, muscle mass, and bone health. "And the benefits kick in immediately after your first workout," Olshansky adds. Don't worry if you're not a gym rat. Those who see the biggest payoffs are the ones who go from doing nothing to simply walking around the neighborhood or local mall for about 30 minutes a day. Building muscle with resistance training is also ideal, but yoga classes can give you similar strength-training effects if you're not into weight lifting.

4. Eat a fiber-rich cereal for breakfast
Getting a serving of whole grains, especially in the morning, appears to help older folks maintain stable blood sugar levels throughout the day, according to a recent study conducted by Ferrucci and his colleagues. "Those who do this have a lower incidence of diabetes, a known accelerator of aging," he says.

5. Get at least six hours of shut-eye
Instead of skimping on sleep to add more hours to your day, get more to add years to your life. "Sleep is one of the most important functions that our body uses to regulate and heal cells," says Ferrucci. "We've calculated that the minimum amount of sleep that older people need to get those healing REM phases is about six hours." Those who reach the century mark make sleep a top priority.

6. Consume whole foods, not supplements
Strong evidence suggests that people who have high blood levels of certain nutrients—selenium, beta-carotene, and vitamins C and E—age much better and have a slower rate of cognitive decline. Unfortunately, there's no evidence that taking pills with these nutrients provides those anti-aging benefits. "There are more than 200 different carotenoids and 200 different flavonoids in a single tomato," points out Ferrucci, "and these chemicals can all have complex interactions that foster health beyond the single nutrients we know about, like lycopene or vitamin C." Avoid nutrient-lacking white foods (breads, flour, sugar) and go for all those colorful fruits and vegetables and dark whole-grain breads and cereals with their host of hidden nutrients.

7. Be less neurotic
It may work for Woody Allen, who infuses his worries with a healthy dose of humor, but the rest of us neurotics may want to find a new way to deal with stress. "We have a new study coming out that shows that centenarians tend not to internalize things or dwell on their troubles," says Perls. "They are great at rolling with the punches." If this inborn trait is hard to overcome, find better ways to manage when you're stressed. These are all good: yoga, exercise, meditation, tai chi, or just deep breathing for a few moments. Ruminating, eating chips in front of the TV, binge drinking? Bad, very bad.

8. Live like a Seventh Day Adventist
Americans who define themselves as Seventh Day Adventists have an average life expectancy of 89, about a decade longer than the average American. One of the basic tenets of the religion is that it's important to cherish the body that's on loan from God, which means no smoking, alcohol abuse, or overindulging in sweets. Followers typically stick to a vegetarian diet based on fruits, vegetables, beans, and nuts, and also get plenty of exercise. They're also very focused on family and community.

9. Be a creature of habit
Centenarians tend to live by strict routines, says Olshansky, eating the same kind of diet and doing the same kinds of activities their whole lives. Going to bed and waking up at the same time each day is another good habit to keep your body in the steady equilibrium that can be easily disrupted as you get on in years. "Your physiology becomes frailer when you get older," explains Ferrucci, "and it's harder for your body to bounce back if you, say, miss a few hours of sleep one night or drink too much alcohol.." This can weaken immune defenses, leaving you more susceptible to circulating flu viruses or bacterial infections.

10. Stay connected
Having regular social contacts with friends and loved ones is key to avoiding depression, which can lead to premature death, something that's particularly prevalent in elderly widows and widowers. Some psychologists even think that one of the biggest benefits elderly folks get from exercise is due to strong social interactions that come from walking with a buddy or taking a group exercise class. Having a daily connection with a close friend or family member gives older folks the added benefit of having someone watch their back. "They'll tell you if they think your memory is going or if you seem more withdrawn," says Perls, "and they might push you to see a doctor before you recognize that you need to see one yourself."

Chinese province to roll out electric buses with 300-km battery range

CHANGCHUN, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Seventy electric buses with double the maximum range of conventional electric cars will go into use in June in northeast China's Jilin Province, a researcher said Friday.

The bus, driven by a Lithium-ion battery, can travel more than 300 km on a 20-minute battery recharge, compared with 100-150 km for conventional electric cars that usually take more time to recharge, said Xie Haiming, a researcher with the Lithium-ion Battery Material S&T Innovation Center of Jilin Province.

Xie said the increased range was gained by using the advance LiFeP04 battery, which was safer and had a longer life than the widely-used lead acid cell.

The government of Liaoyuan was buying 20 of the 24-seat buses and the Changchun city government had ordered 50.

The 24-seat buses are being made jointly by the Tongkun New Energy Technologies Co., Ltd and FAW Bus and Coach Company and will run on the roads in the provincial capital of Changchun City, and Liaoyuan, about 200 km to the south of Changchun, as of June.

Xie said such a bus would sell 500,000 yuan (73,145 U.S. dollars).

"The cost for every 100 km of travel by the new bus is 35 yuan, much lower than 120 yuan by petrol-driven buses," Xie said.

The battery on the new bus can be recharged up to 2,000 times for just 20 minutes each time, making it a good power supply for buses and taxies, Xie said.

Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. FERNANDO Torres came off the bench to score a priceless stoppage time winner as Liverpool came from behind twice to beat Portsmouth 3-2 at Fratton Park.

Reds manager Rafael Benitez's decision to omit Torres, Dirk Kuyt and Xabi Alonso from an under-strength starting line-up looked to have cost Liverpool dearly as his side was trailing 2-1 until six minutes from time.

But Kuyt levelled with a sublime 85th minute shot before Torres headed in Yossi Benayoun's 91st minute cross to send Benitez's men top of the Barclays Premier League table, although champions Manchester United can replace them with a draw at West Ham on Monday morning (EDT).

Liverpool were already weakened by the absence of injured captain Steven Gerrard and Portsmouth could have taken the lead as early as the sixth minute when David Nugent carved a good opportunity for Peter Crouch.

Nugent turned Jamie Carragher on the edge of the six-yard box before rolling the ball neatly into his strike partner's path but Crouch passed up the chance to score against his former club, scuffing a weak right foot shot straight into the arms of a relieved Jose Reina.

Liverpool were unlucky not to go in front in the 11th minute when Fabio Aurelio beat goalkeeper David James with a curling 25-yard free kick, which brushed against the outside of the right hand post before going behind for a goal kick.

Javier Mascherano is not renowned for his goal scoring but it needed a superb fingertip save from James mid-way through the first half to turn the Argentine's fierce 20-yard drive wide.

Dutch forward Kuyt was called from the bench with the second half just 11 minutes old to replace the ineffective David Ngog and set up Ryan Babel for what should have been the opening goal within seconds of coming on.

Kuyt collected Benayoun's pass before bursting into the 18-yard box and whipping in a teasing low cross to leave Babel with an empty net and only the Dutch international will know how he contrived to miss his kick and let the ball sail harmlessly away for a Portsmouth throw-in.

Babel and Benitez were made to pay in the 62nd minute when Nugent gave Portsmouth a surprise lead.

Nugent, a fan of Liverpool's local rivals Everton, got in behind a static Reds defence to latch onto Crouch's threaded through ball before calmly rolling a right shot through the legs of the onrushing Reina and into the centre of the net.

Liverpool were behind for just seven minutes before being gifted an equaliser by a mistake from Anfield old boy James.

James inexplicably blocked Crouch's back pass with his arm, leaving referee Howard Webb with no alternative bit to award a free-kick 12 yards out.

Substitute Alonso teed the ball up for Aurelio to blast a right shot through Portsmouth's ten-man wall and into the bottom right corner.

Torres was finally brought on for the final 14 minutes in place of the hapless Babel as Liverpool pushed forward in search of a much needed winner.

But Portsmouth clearly had other ideas and retook the lead when Herman Hreidarsson rose above Mascherano to head Nadir Belhadj's free-kick past a despairing Reina as Benitez's commitment to zonal marking cost his side dear once more.

Kuyt drew Liverpool level for a second time with a splendid strike.

Torres cut the ball back from the byline after home defender Sylvain Distin had made a mess of his attempted clearance and Kuyt brought the ball onto his right before lashing it into the roof of the net from the tightest of angles.

Just as Liverpool's 3000 travelling fans were contemplating two points dropped, Torres popped up to expertly steer Benayoun's left wing centre past James at his near post in stoppage time.

GO GO GO Liverpool. Currently no.1 in ranking table. Yeepi3 ,Hurray. Hope the skipper "Steven Gerrard" will recover from hamstring injuries as soon as possible.

Movie Review of "Bride War"

The plot: Two friends go to war after their weddins are accidentally booked on the same day.

Our thoughts: Gary Winick’s latest comedy “Bride Wars” is undoubtedly the first big stinker of 2009. Neither funny nor entertaining, this painfully lame attempt at satirizing the wedding industry offers absolutely nothing but a boring feud between two incredibly stupid characters. Believe it or not, but these two bridezillas are a pain in the neck.

The misery starts with the film’s absurd story. Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway star as Liv and Emma, two best friends and brides-to-be who can’t wait to tie the knot and be each other’s maid of honor at their respective weddings, which they both plan to have at the prestigious Plaza Hotel.

The real trouble starts when their wedding planner mistakenly books their weddings on the same day. Usually, this would be an easy fix, but the Plaza is fully booked for the next three years, and there is obviously no way anyone else would voluntarily want to switch with them.

It’s easy to guess what happens next. Neither Liv nor Emma wants to drop out and pick another venue, and before you know it, the two friends are trying everything they can to sabotage each other’s wedding preparations. If you think that sounds like quite the exciting war, don’t get your hopes up too high.

The mostly illogical and utterly pointless story line is the main reason “Bride Wars” fails miserably on so many levels. I completely understand the two main characters are blinded by the excitement of their upcoming weddings, but is that a good enough reason to abandon good sense and throw fists instead of approaching the situation rationally?

I mean, considering they know they can’t change the date and don’t want to pick another venue, why do Liv and Emma not agree to a double wedding? If they really care more about when or where their weddings take place than anything else, wouldn’t they at least logically consider that option?

But no, if they agreed to a double wedding there would be no movie, so as a result, the screenwriters turn them into moronic brides who scream at each other and waste all that time trying to destroy their common dream instead of living it. On that note, I guess writing a crappy script is your best chance to make it in Hollywood these days.

Anyway, once Liv and Emma decide to go to war, the movie gets even worse than it already is, with both brides turning to immature and even more idiotic behavior in their attempts to make each other suffer. The dialogue stinks, the acts of sabotage are lame, and nearly every attempt at humor fails as well. The predictable ending is the most terrible part of the entire movie.

Anne Hathaway deserves tons of praise for her efforts in “Rachel Getting Married,” but her performance here is anything but impressive. As for Kate Hudson, she hasn’t really done a good movie in years, and to be honest, she’s even far more annoying than her co-star.

Movie Review: BEDTIME STORIES

What If The Stories You Told Came To Life?

There may once have been a charming idea at the heart of BEDTIME STORIES, but alas, whatever it might have been has been Sandler-ized. And not for your protection. The tale of Skeeter (Adam Sandler), an underappreciated hotel maintenance man given a chance to succeed where his father failed in the hospitality industry is singularly inert and accentuated with bad special effects, unimaginative costuming that looks to have been fashioned from tissue paper and tin foil, and an overall feeling of a cartoon produced as cheaply as possible.

When his estranged sister goes job hunting out of state because the school where she is principal is about to be demolished, Skeeter is cornered into babysitting his pre-teen niece and nephew. Virtual strangers and raised on a vegan diet of wheat-grass cake and wheat germ, Skeeter discovers that the best way to relate to them is by making up bedtime stories for them the way his father (Johnathan Pryce) did for him. That and slipping them some burgers and chocolate chip cookies.

There is something odd about those bed time stories, though. Even odder than Bugsy, the bug-eyed guinea pig that the kids keep as a pet. While Skeeter injects his own disillusionment into them creating endings replete with suicide and unsavory skin conditions, the kids keep adding touches that make for happy endings, bits and pieces of which, no matter how bizarre or fanciful, start coming true. So while only the Skeeter of the stories may race chariots in ancient Greece, defeat bad guys in the old west, or do battle in zero-gravity in outer space, both Skeeters, real and imaginary, enjoy an unexpected rain of gumballs, a gaggle of girls who used to pick on him and have now seen the error of their ways, and a large hairy man on a beach in need of assistance that only Skeeter can render.

He doesn’t however, get the cherry-red Ferrari of his dreams, but he does get a chance to run the newest hotel in the Nottingham chain, whose megawealthy owner, Barry Nottingham (Richard Griffiths), bought out Skeeter’s dad way back when. All he has to do is come up with a theme that will be better than the one proposed by Kendall (Guy Pearce), the current hotel’s manager and betrothed of the sole heir to the Nottingham hotel empire, party girl Violet (Teresa Palmer), who is supposed to remind us of Paris Hilton, but is somehow not quite as vacuous, not that she doesn’t try..

The odd coinciding of fantasy and reality have a few inventive juxtapositions. Skeeter saves Violet from bandits in the western story, and later saves her from paparazzi gone wild on the Sunset Strip. Mostly, though, it’s a chance for Sandler to mug his way through rice-cake sandwiches, booger monsters, and inept direction from Adam Shankman. There is no sense of wonder, no reason for Jill (Kerri Washington), a teacher at the kids’ school who shares the babysitting chores with Skeeter, to get past the initial distaste for him and his bad hair, and every reason for her and audience to stay away from him. When Sandler isn’t confusing snarkiness with warmth, it’s only to let Pearce overact as the supercilious yes-man of the piece, or to let another attempt to make Bugsy funny fall flat. It’s not that there aren’t comic possibilities in the rodent kingdom in general, nor in guinea pig species in particular, but this one isn’t adorable. It has fixed and staring eyes three times too big for its head, weird eyes that resemble nothing so much as those found in ancient idols of savage and vindictive deities out to wreak havoc. It’s a hard sell. Making him flatulent and putting him on a teeny, tiny treadmill doesn’t help. The fact that he seems to be just a little smarter than Skeeter is just creepy.

The best of a bad thing is Russell Brand as Mickey, Skeeter’s best pal who is the room service waiter at the hotel. Brand is so intensely unfocused that the contradiction, especially in the context of a film that is anything but, is an endless source of engrossing whimsy of the most cognitive dissonant variety.

BEDTIME STORIES isn’t a nightmare, would that it were that lively. Instead it’s a film designed with the poster in mind. A poster that is more fun, more creative, and more engrossing than anything in the film it promotes.

Buahaha. I met wif her last Thursday afternoon. Hot wheater on that day =.=" Luckily we found one cold and suitable place to talk. We talk about our future destination and studies. Urmm.. I gave her some of my old form4-5 Success Oxford reference books. These reference books are meaningful for me during my secondary school life. I used to carry them to school. I stil remember my classmates gave me a nickname"the bookworms". Whatever,It's the past. I hope these reference books can help in her study. May ur dreams of 10As in SPM come true. It have been so long I din't update my blog. Sorry~~ my blog reader. I got no time to on-line also. Everyday gonna accompany my relatives. I be their tour guide. Yesterday, I bring My relatives from KL and Perth to Gurney Plaza. We had our lunch at PastaMania. I ate Creammy Chicken Pasta. Yummy. This is 1 of the Chef's recommendation. Hahax. My cousins bought a lots of t-shirts, ear rings, shoes n etc. They like to shopping. I'm exhausted and tired. After that, we rush to CRC restaurant for our dinner. Luckily we reach there on time. If not uncle MEng will be unhappy. The food there so delicious. Uncle Meng suggestion- children 1 table and adult 1 table. He was the chairman for tonight dinner. Tonight dinner cost RM1200++. OMG!!! So expensive as expected. Thanks uncle. I took a lots of photos. Chik chak. I have a great SATURDAY!!!

Time To Back To School

This long term holidays have come to the end. Honestly, I done nothing in this holidays. I just playing, eating, fooling and sleeping. Din't study at all also. We gonna prepare back to study life. Excited?!I'm a upper six student start from tomorrow. I need to take the challenge of STPM at the end of year. I'm gonna study hard. Push push push~~ No more gaming, playing and entertainment. But I'll still watching football. That's why they called me a real football fans. 2day busy prepare the stuff for schooling. I'll bring some notes and pencil case to school. There is no textbook for me to bring. Aiks. Yesterday went to Gurney Plaza for my 19th birthday celebration with my friends and classmates. Firstly, we have our lunch near GSC. I ate cheese, chicken and ham sandwiches. Yummy~~Very delicious. Next, we watched Outlander at 2.30p.m. Actually the movie not bad. This movie is the producer of Lord Of The Rings. "Moorwen" so violence. That's y this movie is 18SG. Yuck~~The way Moorwen killing human beings so violence. I'm not dare to see oso. My friends keep shouting. After that, we went to one-stop for bowling. What the heck, girl was the winner. Among 8 of us, 2 girls were top 2. I'm only ranked no.5. I'm Sucks~~But I'm quite enjoy it. 2day I received some presents from my friends and my dearest mui. Thanks guys for celebrate with me.

Well, a new year means a new resolution and a new start.My first resolution would be being a dedicated person. I want to do well in everything I could, albeit many obstacles. Now I finally realise what makes me feel soo troublesome and worried. They are in fact the fruit of overthinking. Beverly Hills Chihuahua - Movie Review

“Must Love Dogs”

They have non-animated dogs? And the dogs talk? I am excited already. The new live action Disney comedy Beverly Hills Chihuahua is complete family entertainment. And yes it has talking dogs. I was a little concerned at the outset and was worried this was going to be a cheesy, unoriginal script geared toward those 8 and under. (Remember Curious George?) Though it started a little rocky it finally got its footing and ended strong. And did I mention the dogs talk?

The story revolves around a pampered Chihuahua named Chloe (voice of Drew Barrymore) who gets lost in Mexico due to an irresponsible sitter, Rachel (Piper Perabo). It is up to a lone street smart German Shepherd (voice of Andy Garcia) to try and get her back to her Beverly Hills home safely and steer clear of local dog-nappers and illegal dog fight owners. Also in search of her is a blue collar Chihuahua named Papi (voice of George Lopez) who will stop at nothing to find the dog he loves. Chloe must get home safe and sound before her owner (Jamie Lee Curtis) discovers she is missing.

Call me clueless, but I have to admit that while watching this film I sometimes forgot the dogs where not really talking. They filmed using more than 200 real live dogs including Dobermans, German Shepherds, Chihuahuas, Poodles, Pugs, and a few mutts thrown in for good measure. Some were rescued from shelters in Los Angeles and Mexico, some were seasoned Hollywood dogs. Using the animals own facial expressions and body movements added to the realness of the scenes. As a dog lover it was so easy to bond to the animals and I had no problem imagining them talking. It was all seamless and perfect. Trainers used repetition and positive reinforcement techniques, a tactic that impressed filmmakers. “It’s incredible to watch Mike and his crew work,” says producer John Jacobs. “They have a way of encouraging dogs so that the dogs respond incredibly. I’ve never seen anything like it.” Neither had I.

There are many positive messages in this film too. They make not to subtle hints about the importance of adopting and how all dogs need a home where they can be loved and feel part of the family. Too there is a bit of Chihuahua history mixed in to help understand those little shaky dogs. The story is not only for canines but a positive human message is included. Chloe has to find her voice in order to discover who she truly is. I think we as humans sometimes need to discover our voice and know that we are far more than the clothes on our back or the address on our tag. And more importantly, so are those around us.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua is a laugh out loud movie that will have you cheering and pulling for these four legged adventures. It is rated PG for some mild thematic elements. There are a few scenes of animal danger plus one of the Dobermans is a little on the scary side. This is certainly a safe film for your entire family and it is rare that one comes along that every one can have fun at. So take advantage of that. Although Disney still can’t touch Pixar when it comes to animated adventure, here they show they are still top dog in the live action family realm.

Things changed FAST

I found out things change fast in real life. Something bad happened to me. Conclusion, we cannot trust a person who is not very close with you.

Yesterday night around 8p.m- I went to Penang International Airport fetch my cousins from Christmas Islands, Australia. After waiting for half an hour, they finally come out. They bring lots of luggages. But bad news was they were fined for bringing mangos in. We went for our dinner after that. Last night I slept at 12a.m. Today I woke up at 9.30a.m. This is the first time I wake up so late. After ate my breakfast, I play Nintendo Wii with my cousins. We play Super SmachBros Brawl. Something like Digimon Rambo Arena which using different kinds of characters fighting each other. Example of characters: Pikachu, Honky Donkey, Sonic, Mario, Wolfverine and many more. My cousins playing skills very pro. So, I'm big loser 2day.

Movie review: The Day the Earth Stood Stilll

Well, the good news is that those avid moviegoers trying to fit in the onslaught of worthwhile December releases amid busy holiday schedules won’t have to feel bad if they happen to miss the sci-fi thriller “The Day the Earth Stood Still.”

This Keanu Reeves vehicle, directed by Scott Derrickson, is a cheesy remake of the 1951 classic in which aliens come to earth in order to save the planet from the destructive and violent nature of human beings. David Scarpia’s script closely follows the original and ignores any opportunity to inject metaphorical elements along with a modern-day spin that might have energized the story line or dialogue.

A brilliant scientist Helen (Jennifer Connely) is summoned by the government to be part of a team of experts gathered to analyze an alien sphere scheduled to collide into New York City. Instead of making a crash landing the sphere gently touches down in Central Park, where the military promptly shoots at the alien being who has emerged from the orb with an important message.

Ironically, the alien Klaatu (Reeves) is then rushed for life-saving surgery in a military hospital and shortly thereafter informs the Defense Secretary (Kathy Bates) that he will be taking over the planet in order to “save” it from certain destruction.

Soon Connelly and her stepson Jacob (Jaden Smith) go on the run with Klaatu and proceed to convince him that the population needs a second chance.

Although there are no great performances to speak of, Connelly and Smith share nice screen chemistry on occasion. However, they are both capable of so much more.
Reeves pulls out his standard low-key and soulless approach to present a characterization that might have worked better if the transition he makes at the end of the film was not so incomprehensibly contrived.

In the end “The Day the Earth Stood Still” is reminiscent of a lot of other sci-fi disaster pictures and director Derrickson uses a ton of CGI that is more uninspired than it is spectacular.
With the onslaught of “heavy hitters” heading toward the box office, diehard fans of Reeves will want to scurry to the theater quickly as this light-weight offering isn’t likely to stick around for long. But the ending of the movie so =.="

First of all, I went out with Terrence, Yee Foo, Jia jie, Chun Keat, Zheng Fung, Yern Yern, Wei Lin to celebrate Soon Hee @ Tsu Min's 18th Birthday at Steamboat house. We ate a lot of foods there. I'm quite enjoy the foods but my body keep sweating =.=". I met my god sis-Lin Yean over there along with Chiew Ling. After our dinner, we went to Gurney Plaza for shopping. Actually quite many people there. I went to ground floor met with Priscilla and Menzi. They work at the Digi centre. Then, we went to the hawker stall searching some fruits drinks. Finally, we went to the Gurney Drive. We chit-chatting for nearly half an hour. I also went to find my god sis's hse-Min Min. Her house is totally full of security system. She's a rich girl which stay in a big house. I had a wonderful day^^ Sweet memory @ Friends foreVer~~

Movie Review: Bolt

Bolt is a Walt Disney Pictures 3-D Production directed by Chris Williams and Byron Howard, and produced by Clark Spencer and John Lasseter. Both Howard and Lasseter are no strangers to Disney movies. Byron Howard was the animator for Lilo and Stitch and Brother Bear. John Lasseter directed Cars, Toy Story and Toy Story 2. He was also the executive producer of Monsters, Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and many others. With such a powerhouse team behind it, Bolt is ready to take on the competition. Bolt (John Travolta) is a super dog. His day is full of danger, excitement, and adventure. He has amazing super powers like heat vision, super speed, and even a super bark. Sadly, Bolt doesn’t know he is only a super dog on a TV show, so when he is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood lot to New York City, the real adventure begins.

Bolt embarks on a cross-country journey to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny (Miley Cyrus). Along the way he gains two unlikely companions. One is an abandoned housecat named Mittens (Susie Essman), and the other is a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino (Mark Walton). Through this journey, Bolt learns he doesn’t need super powers to be a hero.
Bolt grabs your attention from the very beginning with an action packed ten-minute chase scene. There are motorcycles, low flying helicopters, explosions, and slow motion leaps. Children will be rooting for Bolt every step of the way.
The movie also offers up some big laughs. There is the sarcastic Mittens, quirky birds scattered through the film, and the downright hilarious Rhino. You will have a ball laughing at the characters. The casting for this movie is perfect. John Travolta is totally convincing as Bolt, and teen sensation Miley Cyrus is great for Penny’s heartfelt moments.
Bolt is a really good movie for all ages. Though parents may be surprised at all the action and might be taken back by the dramatic fire scene, the movie still delivers some family fun. Children will be drawn to how cute the characters are and, thanks to the amazing 3D effects, they will feel like they are along for the adventure. If you are looking for an action/comedy for the whole family, Bolt is just the movie to see.

Madagascar 2

In the past, Alex (Ben Stiller) the lion lived in Africa with his father Zuba (Bernie Mac), the pride's alpha lion, and mother Florrie (Sherri Shepherd), along the rest of the pride, including Makunga (Alec Baldwin), who always wanted to be the leader. One day Alex—known as Alakay to his parents—is captured by poachers after his father turns away for a moment because of Makunga. Zuba chases after his captured son, but fails in his attempt to rescue him. However, Alakay's crate falls into a nearby river and drifts off to sea. Alex is then discovered, found washed ashore in New York, were he is put in the zoo, named Alex, and later becomes an idol to many New Yorkers, also making friends with a young zebra, a hippo, and a giraffe.

The film cuts to the four heroes saying goodbye to their lemur friends while taking off in a plane to New York, along with King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen) and Maurice (Cedric the Entertainer), the chimpanzees, and Mort (Andy Richter) who failed to get into the plane on time, but hangs on to the wing outside as they take off. Over the country, the engines blow out (possibly because of Mort) and they crash land "safely" in the African plains. The penguins, who controlled the flight say it might take 6 to 9 months to rebuild the plane, and so Alex, Marty (Chris Rock), Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith), and Melman (David Schwimmer) take off to find any help. However, the chimpanzees find help. The animals encounter a tourist car, with new yorkers sitting in it. Alex recognizes the old lady "Nana" that kicked his butt at the train station, and they engage in a brawl, nevertheless the old lady beats Alex again. Later the humans are carjacked by the penguins for extra supplies to re build the plane, and Nana (who ends up leading the people) escorts them into the jungle to create a campsite.

Alex and the rest meet up with a giant group of animals including ones the same of them plus more. There Alex reunites with his father and mother. Marty meets an enormous pack of zebras that sound exactly like him, Gloria falls for a hippo named Moto Moto (will.i.am) which his name means "Hot, HOT" and makes Melman jealous, because he has deep feelings for her. The giraffe becomes the witch doctor for other giraffes so he can stop his species from dying in holes. Before Alex can join the pride he must complete a challenge, which is scheduled the next day. Makunga now has the chance to become the alpha lion by tricking the returning son.

The next day, Alex is told by Makunga that he should choose an opponent called Teetsi, and so he does and the entire pride gasps as the lion walks up to Alex, and Teetsi appears to be a gigantic beefed up lion. Alex mistakes the challenge as a dance off, and he is easily defeated. Zuba is forced to give up his role as the alpha lion and give it to Makunga and the lion is both confused and angry after Alex tells him he was a star unlike a king. After Zuba insults Alex saying that he isn't a "real" lion, he walks off offended and depressed. Marty becomes angry at Alex because he mistook him for another zebra, and Melman argues with Gloria after she says she is going out on a date with Moto Moto that night. Melman is too shy to admit his feelings to Gloria, but Julien attempts to teach Melman how, and so the giraffe takes off to find Gloria and Moto Moto. He is still to scared, and Gloria thinks it is just an apology and she accepts and then Melman tells Moto Moto to take great care of Gloria in case of the future he is sure she might have. Meanwhile the lost humans including Nana meet up with another group of people who were carjacked as well and they find a camp site and they worship Nana for her great leadership. Mort washes up to the shore (because he fell off the plane when it was about to crash) and he is chased by a shark.

The water hole is dried up the next morning, and all the animals panic because they will die of thirst. Makunga doesn't know what to do, but Julien suggests a sacrifice to the volcano so the water could return. Melman decides to volunteer as the sacrifice. Gloria is completely surprised by this, and tries to talk Melman out of it, but then she realizes he is doing this is impress her and sharing his complete feelings about her. Alex finds Marty and the zebra forgives him and they take off in the hunters preserve, which is were the jungle is located. The duo finds a dam blocking the river to the plains built by the humans. They are ambushed, Alex is captured, and Marty escapes to tell that his friend has been caught. Zuba gets the message and he chases after him. Melman declines the sacrifice to stay with Gloria, and the zebra arrives to tell them about Alex's capture. They then show up at the plane as it is completed and it flies off above the jungle.

The humans are spit roasting Alex above the fire alive, but Zuba arrives in a nick of time. Nana attempts to kill Zuba and Alex with a gun, but Alex shows the humans his famous dance moves to the people and soon enough they recognize the lion as Alex from back at the zoo. Zuba shortly joins in the performance. Nana is impressed, but then points the gun at Zuba and pulls the trigger, but the bullet is deflected by a big bucket lowered down by the plane carrying the rest of the group. The lions enter and they fly off, but before leaving the campsite, they destroy the dam and the water washes back to the pride, who are almost dying from thirst. At the volcano, Mort arrives still pursued by the shark, which falls into the volcano lava (Julien makes a joke about hoping the gods like seafood). The lemurs look down into the plains finding the water returning and making them think the sacrifice worked. Makunga is removed from the throne (after Alex tricks Nana into attacking him), and Zuba and Alex now the alpha lions.

Now that the water is back, the animals can live in peace without Makunga living there anymore. The penguins, chimps, and lemurs decide not to stay as they take off back to Madagascar. Now part of the pride, Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman dance off to their new home along with Zuba and Florrie.

Today is my first day to write blog.

And I'll start writing my blog now. Let's see what happened today. Well, this morning I went to Mr. Sim's chemistry tuition from 8.30-1pm. Around 10.30am, we were given a half an hour break. I went to have my breakfast that time.

After tuition, I went to queensbay mall with my friends. Met my mui there. Hahaha. We went to see ASIMO robot by honda.

Later at night, I went for dinner with my parents at Northam Beach Cafe. I ate German sausage. The scenery there was very beautiful. After that, went home. That's all.
